The whole night all these ideas for my birthday keep flooding my brain and I HAD to write them down! okay here it is.
IDEA #1 instead of people give me presents ( I know they will even tho I ALWAYS tell me not to) they can give me money to either 1. replenish my funds after spending money to get down there and/or 2. pitch in for me to get a tongue piercing. When I first got mine it was $30 & I've been 'shopping' around Melbourne/Palm Bay & the cheapest is $35 & the most expensive is 50. So I broke it down like this if 10 people come they can give me $4 each, 8ppl-$5, 4 ppl- $10 I mean I am not going to ASK them for money I am simply going to tell them I prefer a monetary gift as oppose to a something they're going to buy and then wrap.
IDEA #2 (the wedding and just working at the Hilton prompted this) renting a banquet room at a hotel, a small one, and either get a DJ or find a free one through someone I know or whatnot (HA!), have a cash bar or just have them go out to the bar when they want something, and then either do that after dinner or have some hors devours passed around? But then when I thought that one out I figured it would be too expensive so here are some cost effective ideas.
IDEA #3 a beach party (which might not work bc of the weather)
IDEA #4 a picnic at the beach or at a park and BECAUSE of the weather it wont be too hot for us to chill outside and we can just do like a BBQ with grilling and stuff - or not - IDK. Then I also thought about having a birthday breakfast and/or lunch, in addition to the dinner but that would be too much $$ for people to spend so IDK about that either. Then I started thinking about my guest list and I know I'm missing people but here's who I have so far: Brenda & her husband Frank, Nick, Shirley, my titi Jeni, kleave, my brother Gabriel & his wife, Sarah and her sister Sally, Ramsey, Ajit and on my 'maybe' list is Melvin, his sister Asalia, Steve (a friend of mine and Sarah's in Broward), Ben, Joann (the Bush's daughter), Nick's sis Angela, Doug & Michelle, and this chic Melissa and her man . I know I will extend the invitation to some people on my space/face book but I know they will not come. And any other people I would have invited moved away so obviously they can't come now. And last but not least IDEA #5 is to have the dinner at a restaurant that has a dance floor and a DJ that way either during dinner or after we can stay right there and dance the night away until the place closes and then we can go somewhere else OR by that time some of the people will be tired and go home and who ever is left can go somewhere else and party.. or something like that. WHEW! aren't you glad I am done. Man and that is just today LOL I'll be real fast with my day yesterday. I applied to 3 jobs in person, my birth certificate came already so I'll be able to go on the cruise, I paid for my mdcc transcripts to be sent, made the money order for the homestead high transcript, called the massage school to ask them how to get mine from there, paid my storage and tithed. :D and I think bc I tithed God gave me a 3rd opportunity to work at the Hilton today. So far my weekend is kicking butt and taking names! Tomorrow I go see my grandma with my mom & siblings were celebrating their birthdays early there :) and then the cruise on Thursday.
